University of Houston janitor reveals the worst mess ever found
School janitors do their job so well that students often don’t notice their work or get involved. In a day of exams, student group meetings or lunch dates with friends, one could easily overlook these cleaning professionals as they seemingly blend into the background of a hectic day on campus. Trying to keep a campus with 30,000+ college students spotlessly clean can be hazardous and messy.
Roberta Warmuth talked with one housekeeper about some of the scary things she’s seen perpetuated by students during her career at UH. Her name is being withheld because she was not authorized to speak to media.
Roberta Warmuth: How long have you worked in your current position at the University of Houston?
Housekeeper: Almost two-and-a-half years.
RW: What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever cleaned up?
HK: Moody Towers- crap out of the showers. Someone took a crap in the shower, and left it there.
RW: Did you know who did it?
HK: No, but if I did, I would’ve made them clean it up!
RW: What’s the strangest thing you’ve ever seen on campus?
HK: I guess it goes back to when I was at Moody Towers. Sex in the showers. They do everything in those showers. Don’t stay there.
RW: Have any students ever helped you clean up a mess?
HK: Yeah. My Moody Towers students. They loved me.
