The Mayan Prophecy of 2012, an ominous and so-called prediction to the end of the world. The world has been talking about this prediction for the last few years leading up to the year 2012. We here at EGMN decided to have some fun and ask a few people there opinion on the impending doom the date 12/21/2012 was supposed to hold for the world.

Question 1:  What are your expectations for December 21 2012?

Answers:

Maria:

“I don’t think the world is going to end.”

Anna:

“Nothing just keep doing what I do everyday and not think about it.”

Genaro:

“To be honest I don’t believe in the world ending.”

Aldara:

“Just another day.

Ramiro:

“To be disappointed, no I’m playing. It’s just going to be another day, nothing is going to happen.”

Alison:

“I expect for the world to shake and for bad things to happen.”

Erika:

“To be with family.”

Maribel:

“To be with family and loved ones.”

Adrian:

“For the world to end and therefore spend no money on Christmas presents.”

Joselyn:

“I expect there to be 3 days of darkness.”

Question 2: What do you plan to do before the world “ends”?

Answers:

Maria:

“The world is NOT ending.”

Anna:

“Spend my last days with my family.”

Genaro:

“I plan to keep living life normal since nothing will happen.”

Aldara:

“live my life as normal.”

Ramiro:

“If we all know it was going to happen I think I would go buy a tailored made Calvin Klein Suit. If I’m going down, I’m going down looking good.”

Erika:

“I would like to eat all of the cake in the world and get fat with no worries”

Janeth:

“Waste all of my money”

Asuzena:

“I had no plans because I did not believe the world was going to end”

Joselyn:

“Living the ‘you only live once’ life style.”

Karina:

“I will force the boy band One Direction to meet me”

And now that the date has finally passed, it sure looks like the world is ok does it not? Nonetheless, it was a fun journey seeing the reactions the public has had to this belief. I’m sure with the next “prediction,” there will be even more interesting responses to the end of the world.
