UT graduate Chanel Dror looks to conquer the Houston music scene
Chanel Dror not only young, talented, and a University of Texas graduate, Dror is an aspiring Houstonian singer with dreams she will turn into reality.
Dror started singing at age 6. Her YouTube cover music videos have been watched over fifty thousand times and people are already recognizing Dror for her work. Her bond between her fans is growing and she does her best to stay connected through social media.
‘’ I love so many music genres. It’s hard to say I have a specific one,’’ Dror said. “I have special place in my heart for hip hop, but the truth is that I love everything including country and classic music.’’
Most of people don’t know Dror attended the University of Houston. “I attended the University of Houston for a semester and I loved it,‘’ Dror said. “Although, I always had my sight on University of Texas. The communication program was amazing.’’
With her parent’s approval, Dror has able to expand her talent. She has opened for rapper, J. Cole at his last visit in Austin. J.Cole is also Dror’s favorite rapper and dreams to work with him in the near future.
‘’ My hopes for my music career is getting my music out and get more well known,” Dror said. “My recommendation to those who want to conquer music is to, even if everything is working against you, put your material out there and make as many connections as you can.”
Her latest single, ‘’ R U Jealous Yet,” is already on the local radio stations.
