WANTED: Armed suspect responsible for several robberies
HOUSTON, TX) – HCSO robbery investigators need the public’s help in identifying and locating a suspect believed to be responsible for robbing at gunpoint several smoke shops in Harris County.
Surveillance video of a robbery that took place this week is attached.
It happened on Monday, August 18 at the 69 Smoke Shop located at 4025 N. State Highway 6 in west Harris County.
According to an employee, the suspect came into the store shortly after 10 a.m. that day and pulled a silver gun from his front waistband. He fired the gun towards the back room.
The suspect then jumped the counter, shot at the cash register, and demanded the employee give him all the money in the register and a nearby safe.
Before leaving, the suspect took the employee into the business office, fired several more rounds into the wall and locked him in the bathroom. The suspect got away with cash and several boxes of cigarettes.
He’s described as a Hispanic male, 5’10” to 6′ tall, approximately 175-180 lbs. He has a short ‘buzzed’ haircut, a goatee and numerous arm tattoos, including one of a tear drop on his right cheek. He speaks English and Spanish.
Anyone with information about the suspect’s identity and/or location is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477) or submit a tip via iWatchHarrisCounty. He’s considered armed and dangerous.
