The Houston march to protest a Missouri grand jury’s decision not to indict police officer Darren Wilson in Michael Brown’s death began in MacGregor Park and finished just a few blocks away from U.S. 288. Demonstrators initially tried to shut down the 288, but the Houston Police Department prevented them from accessing the major freeway.
