The Houston Cougars win their fourth straight Bayou Bucket Classic over the Rice Owls with a 38-3 victory at TDECU Stadium. The Cougars are now 30-11 all time in the inner-city rivalry.

The Emerging Latino Leaders Fellowship, Mi Familia Vota, the Hispanic Association for Cultural Enrichment at Rice (HACER), the Student Government Association at University of Houston-­Downtown will be hosting a Houston Mayoral Candidate Forum at Rice University. The forum is primarily geared toward Latino voters across Houston high schools and colleges with the mission of better informing them about candidate plans to address issues relevant to young Houstonians.

Rice University and its student organization Rice Salseros are putting on the inaugural Salsa Explosion, an event open to everyone interested in salsa dancing.
